Morning Meditation?

Heh, heh. You can have your cake…

(and eat it too) after we first spend time together allowing our mind to settle and rest in its natural state.

Get ready to shrug off all concepts about meditation and learn how to take it easy like a carefree person with no agenda.

Ignore the niggling thought that you look foolish sitting in a slump and meh mood while everyone else in the room is sitting like a glowing gilded statue of Buddha.

When meditation becomes natural and necessary as brushing your teeth and checking text messages, the power of practice reveals what can be known only through practice and not from books or conversation. Meditation is the ne plus ultra gift you can give yourself!

“Morning Meditation” is led by N. L. Drolma

Every Wednesday from 11 am - noon EST

There’s always opportunity for Q & A.

Offerings for teachings and guided practice are a Buddhist tradition; the dharma is priceless, not a commodity for sale. So we ask that you kindly give what you can in support of the teachings and Khachod Dechenling’s sacred space. Suggested donation: $25. No one is turned away for lack of funds.

To reserve your spot:

Way of sitting under the tent of a Buddhist retreat center in the south of France when you thought your husband packed the beach chairs for a surprise weekend of ocean air and squawking seagulls.

Some people practice meditation to acquire (and deepen) experiential knowledge of the mind’s true nature, which is our true nature and the nature of everything.

The Sanskrit term for this is sugatagarbha. (Sounds even more delicious than tiramisu, yah?) It’s beyond thought, beyond words, beyond description. Yet it can be known by taking a break from our habitual doings and getting used to purely being.

You can also be lured into meditation by a loving spouse.
